Most users have no idea how to methodically test an application, they just use it until they stumble across something wrong. It would help to add a section about looking at Mozilla's test cases by either browsing the litmus web pages or using the [http://quality.mozilla.org/qac Mozilla QA Companion] . If nothing else, its useful to get some ideas about how to test the application, and to see what areas aren't covered. [[User:Tanstaafl|Tanstaafl]] 17:01, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

I reverted my last edit. For the record, [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1080319 bug 1080319] refers to the
-remote
command line option (not
-no-remote
) . [[User:Alice Wyman|Alice]] 12:17, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

The article advocates the reader use a seperate profile for testing, to mitigate the risk. Good idea, but that doesn't match what a lot of users do, which is use the nightly build or a alpha version with thier normal profile. The article should explicitly state you should backup your profile beforehand if you do that.

It would be useful to explicitly mention the existence of weekly bug or test days. See http://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Bugdays , http://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testdays and http://quality.mozilla.org/events/test-days (Firefox 3.0)
