You can save your Mozilla Suite/SeaMonkey or Firefox bookmarks to a file, using the Export feature of the Bookmarks Manager.
- Mozilla Suite/SeaMonkey: "Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks... -> Tools -> Export..."
- Firefox 2 and below:: "Bookmarks -> Organize (or Manage) Bookmarks... -> File -> Export..."
- Firefox 3: "Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks -> Import and Backup -> Export HTML...".
Note: In Firefox 3, "Import and Backup -> Export HTML..." will save a bookmarks file in HTML format which can be imported from any browser. ("Import and Backup -> Backup..." will save a bookmarks file in JSON format which can only be restored in Firefox 3.)
Note: You can save an exported bookmarks.html file to another location for backup, in case of future problems with your bookmarks (see Lost bookmarks - Replacing bookmarks with a backup file). You can also transfer bookmarks saved in HTML format to another Mozilla application or profile using the Import from file feature of the Bookmarks Manager.
