Using this category

The "SeaMonkey" category and another Seamonkey category (?) were both created 30 September 2008 and both redirect to the Mozilla Suite category right now. I'm not sure why both were created but I think it's a good idea to have a "SeaMonkey" category. I was thinking about using the SeaMonkey category, instead of having it as a redirect. I would like to use the SeaMonkey category right now for SeaMonkey 2 articles (and maybe deleting the "Seamonkey" category, if it was created in error?).

Mozilla Suite and SeaMonkey 1.x are much more similar to each other than either are to SeaMonkey 2, (e.g., SM2 has a separate Profile Manager and uses profiles.ini). SM2 has more features in common with Firefox/Thunderbird (e.g., it includes an Add-ons Manager, (Helper) Applications interface similar to Firefox 3, includes Safe Mode, Software Update, etc.). For those not familiar with SeaMonkey 2, see SeaMonkey:New for 2.0 (MozillaWiki). That's why I think we should probably keep the Mozilla Suite category as the top-level category and start using the new "SeaMonkey" bub-category for new SeaMonkey articles.

For now, I'd like to place articles that include information that applies to SeaMonkey 2 (currently in Alpha) under the SeaMonkey category. That way I can keep track of these "SeaMonkey 2" articles to make it easier to find them for updating, when future changes occur. Articles that are currently under Mozilla Suite would be moved to the SeaMonkey sub-category. Articles that are in other categories (e.g., the Profiles or Plugins category) would be added to SeaMonkey as an additional category.

Here are some articles that include SeaMonkey 2 information, which I'd like to include right now in the SeaMonkey category.

I was also thinking of whether or not to add these other articles to the "SeaMonkey" category. They apply to SeaMonkey 2 but not 1.x:

As more SeaMonkey 2 information is added to existing articles (e.g., to Issues with SeaMonkey and Standard diagnostic - SeaMonkey, which I've recently renamed) they can be placed in the new SeaMonkey category. We'd eventually need to create new SeaMonkey categories, such as Profile contents (SeaMonkey) that apply to SeaMonkey 2 profile files, etc.
