This category is used to formally request comments from other editors on an article. Normally disputes are resolved in an articles discussion page. When that doesn't work, you can request input from other editors by adding {{Request for comments}} to the top of the article to try to get a rough consensus and/or an outside perspective. It can also be useful when an article needs a review, to improve its quality. In that case try to identify what are the issues in the articles discussion page before adding it to this category. While we encourage editors to use this process it shouldn't be used whenever you don't get your way, or when it could be perceived as retaliation for somebody else requesting comments on one of your articles.

Please make your comments in the articles discussion page and try not to be confrontational. Be friendly and civil, and assume good faith in other editors' actions.
