Background

As part of its Safe Browsing feature, Mozilla Firefox keeps track of a list of malware to compare against data the end user downloads. In the event the user downloads known malware, a warning can be displayed. This preference determines the URL for the “Why was this site blocked?” button displayed with these warnings.

Possible values and their effects

The URL the user will visit upon clicking the “Why was this site blocked?” button on malware warning pages. Default value is http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?client=%NAME%&hl=%LOCALE%&site=. %NAME% is replaced with application’s name (in this case, Firefox), and %LOCALE% is replaced with the value of general.useragent.locale.
