Keyboard shortcut registry

Dear Mxn

Thank you for your very useful contribution to 'Keyboard shortcut registry for extension authors (Firefox)'. For your future assistance, please note the description of the sort sequence used in that table. That sequence follows the standard of the 'KeyConfing' extension. As you will see, apart from making it easy to find a particular key combination, it assists in identifying those key combinations which are used by more than one extension.

I have moved your entries to appropriate places.

Thanks again

Best regards

Dear Mxn

Your font changes have repeated previously trodden ground. As was then pointed out, for someone of (for instance) my age, the font sizes you introduced are too small for stress-free use. Moreover, the mixing of different fonts, sizes and colours in the data cells is most unaesthetic and makes both reading entries and addition of new entries more difficult and prone to error. The essential, both for the reader and the updater, is to have correct data present in clear, uncomplicated form. Good lookup table design, like many other things benefits from 'KIS' (Keep It Simple).

Please use the horizontal scroll bar to see the fields on the right side. For locating particular key combinations they are less significant than those in the immediate field of vision.

If the skin you are using (the default, 'Monobook' perhaps?) does not permit clear view using the scrollbar, please approach the wiki admin to solve that problem.

I use 'Cologne Blue' skin which allows proper use of the scrollbar because preplaced links etc are all displayed on the left and do not get entangled with the page content.

Dear Mxn

Thank you for your response. Sorry to have removed your helpful addition on OS differences. Bulk restoration seemed the safest way to do things at this time of night. Thank you for restoring that paragraph.

Time to sleep now, I think.

Best regards

Dear Mxn

Where did you get your KeyConfig? The latest version can be found in the first post of the topic at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=72994. I install it locally from the .xpi file downloaded onto hard drive.

Best regards
