RealPlayer 10.5

I log on to a Radio Station website (www.wave105.com) which allows you to listen online using RealPlayer or Windows Media Player. I prefer RealPlayer (I use version 10.5) as I find the streaming audio is more reliable than WMP. However when I click on the RealPlayer link on the Wave105 website I get a message saying a plugin is required, when I click the link to download the plugin it reports that a suitable plugin is not available. If I log on to the website using IE I don't get the same problem! Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be that prevents the use of RealPlayer?

I'm trying to get to the MIT Lecture Search project ... which uses RealAudio. (I'm guessing SMIL.) Using FF2.0.0.11 I get crashes.
After reading through the article I checked the test page ... and got the NoPlugin message.
So I uninstalled a perfectly fine RA10.5 install, and when through all the steps.
The result was that the test page caused a crash.
So I went through the supplementary steps to install the other DLL.
The result was that the test page caused a crash.
What's funny about this is that fully 10 years ago with NS3 we were wasting time on the same issue.
Back then I'd launch IE *Gack Ptui!* and view the problem pages just fine.
Today I launched IE *Gack Ptui!* and viewed the problem pages just fine.
2008 and the same bullshit problems. --ben 00:49, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Removing outdated RP10.5 Modified Plugin info and links

I removed the RP 10.5 Modified Plugin testing and download bad links and the link to the outdated MozillaZine "Guide" forum post, based on feedback here. Alice 18:25, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
