Background

Unlike HTML, XML doesn't have any built-in style. If the author doesn't supply a stylesheet, there is no defined way it should be displayed to the user. This preference controls how unstyled XML will be displayed.

Possible values and their effects

True

Output unstyled XML in a tree view with syntax highlighting. (Default)

False

Output unstyled XML as text only.

Caveats

  • This preference does not exist by default. If it is not present, it defaults to true.
