Background
Mozilla supports site icons (e.g., favicons and image thumbnails) in tabs, toolbars, and in the Bookmarks menu. This preference determines whether they should be downloaded and/or displayed.
Possible values and their effects
True
Load and display site icons. (Default)
False
Suppress the display of site icons.
Caveats
- browser.chrome.load_toolbar_icons set to 0 overrides this preference for the Bookmarks menu and Personal Bookmarks Toolbar.
- This preference set to false will override the effects of browser.chrome.load_toolbar_icons, browser.chrome.favicons, and browser.chrome.image_icons.max_size.
