Hi tanstaafl, just in case you don't notice these otherwise, I've added some editing-related comments in Talk:Thunderbird and Talk:Keep it working (Thunderbird). The blurb you've inserted into :Category:Thunderbird looks very good, with the 2 manually linked articles. On that page I've changed "navigating this tree" to "navigating these categories", just to make it easier to read (not everyone knows what a "tree" is, in this context). --wintogreen 11:48, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Hi!

As a regular contributor to the Knowledge Base, I thought you'd like to know about a new page I've created: Knowledge Base changes. The purpose of the page is explained in that article, but in summary I think it would be a good central place for existing editors to discuss potentially controversial changes to the KB, and for new editors to propose changes before implementing them.  Any feedback will be gratefully received on the talk page for that article, or on my user talk page!

Best wishes, --Mozcerize 13:03, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Handling log ins?
I'm going on vacation for 3 weeks in 2 weeks. Want to handle creating new accounts for that time? Basically people e-mail you their desired user names and you create them for them.--Np 05:56, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

Sure. No problem. Tanstaafl 07:20, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
:I'm back now. I can take the job back, if you like.--Np 02:09, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

::Yes, please.  I'd have no problem doing it again for a while if you need a break sometime or the next time you go on vacation. Tanstaafl 03:00, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

IP address block on 140.211.166.10
The KB seems to think me (and Unarmed) are on this address. It resolves to sunrise.mozillazine.org. I've removed the block.--Np 03:05, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Thats the problem I sent you a private message about on 05 May 2007, with a copy of the thread I created in the moderators forum. I was suddenly unable to edit articles. "Your user name or IP address has been blocked by Tanstaafl. The reason given is this: Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Patient X". However, I had blocked a username, not a IP address.  I removed that block (it had #295 for IP Address or username: despite earlier stating "Your IP address is 140.211.166.10.") and was able to edit articles again. So it looks like you got bit by that bug too. I'll mention in that thread that both of you ran into it. How do you suggest we get this bug fixed? . Tanstaafl 04:34, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

:I have the same problem. Somehow I am 140.211.166.10. Now I get password requests from 140.211.166.10 when I didn't make them...

:Do you think unblocking Patient X would stop this from happening?--Np 02:37, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
::No idea. However, I also got blocked today. I'll unblock Patient X as an experiment. If I see Patient X showing up in the change logs I might block him again. I'll also ask for help in the www.mwusers.com forum. Tanstaafl 04:04, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Offline folders

Regarding the page Offline folders, what do you mean by "If you get all of your new mail in the inbox its much simpler to just use a message filter to automatically copy or move any new messages to a folder in the local folders directory." ? Simpler compared to what? --Chealer 17:03, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

I need to reword that. I was talking about somebody who was used to a global inbox with POP accounts and wondering how to get something similar with IMAP accounts. I'll try to update the article (about half of it is still out of date, though you've removed a lot of obsolete stuff) in the next couple of days. Tanstaafl 21:31, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
