Hi!  My name is Jeff Walden, and I'm just an interested end-user (probably too interested) with the time on my hands to work to make Firefox the best browser around.  I don't really know C++ yet, so I'm limited to making helpful suggestions, doing bug triaging, and [http://firebirdhelp.mozdev.org/contribs.html helping out with the Firebird Help project] (probably will be renamed Firefox sometime, but I don't know when).

Hi! My name is Jeff Walden, and I'm just an interested end-user (probably too interested) with the time on my hands to work to make Firefox the best browser around. I don't really know C++ yet, so I'm limited to making helpful suggestions, doing bug triaging, and helping out with the Firebird Help project (probably will be renamed Firefox sometime, but I don't know when).

Important Stuff

Hi, all!

There's not much here right now. I'm too busy enjoying Firefox 0.8 to write much here. Anyways, if by some odd twist of fate you haven't tried out Firefox, give it a whirl! It beats the pants off Internet Explorer with no problems, and it can only get better. Besides, if you don't like something, it's easy enough to fix: just find or write an extension for it. That's the beauty of this whole "Features by Extensibility" thing - it works for everyone.

Other than that, keep on browsing and promoting Firefox 0.8. In particular, keep on linking to the Firefox product page and the Why document:

As you can see, we've got quite a ways to go to regain our rightful position at the top of the search rankings, and every link helps. If you have a website, link. If you have a blog, link. If you don't have either, put a link in your email signatures. If you don't have any of these, convert a friend who does and get him to put links on his blog/webpage. It's viral marketing, people, and it's the only way we'll put a dent in IE's user share.

One last question

If you got here by the website link in my MozillaZine forums profile, you might be wondering why I even have this. The answer is this: perhaps some of the forum's pages will be linked. Perhaps I will have posted on some of them. Thus, perhaps this page will get spidered. Thus, Firefox gets a few more links. It can't hurt, right?  ;-)
