You might use Thunderbird from more than one computer within a network. Change your profile folder location to a network profile and then
- Start Thunderbird's Profile Manager.
- Delete a previously created default profile in your profile folder.
- Create a new profile using the Profile Manager.
- Browse to and select the network profile.
There are two locations which you will need to setup if you want a network install to act like a single account on all users computers i.e. one centralised email account accessible by multiple users.
Local Folders
To have every user accessing the same 'local folder' Change the following path:
Tools/Account Settings/Local Folders
Set network location for local folder in the 'message storage' area under 'Local Directory' to the desired network location.
Account Folders
Setup an account. Change the following path:
Tools/Account Settings/Server Settings/ Change the 'Local Directory' to the desired network location.
