I personally think that both the related bugs mentioned in the article are both huge wontfixes and could be removed from this article. What do you think? FatJohn 06:22, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

I removed Bug 248497 - Uninstalling in Windows does not reset (keeps) files associations. There's already a link in the article to this forum post ("File associations") which refers to that bug report. Bug 255225 - {Windows} reset IE to default browser upon uninstall of Firefox looks invalid but I thought the information it contained might be useful. Alice Wyman 00:40, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
...and, I removed the "Related bug" section and made a reference link to bug 255225 within the article intro. Alice Wyman 10:16, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

Uhm... what is this thingy http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=2275627#2275521 Should it be included in this article, what do you think? --FatJohn 22:28, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

I also found this, http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=412078 UninstallFirefox.exe missing ? (fwiw). I edited the article to mention the uninstall problem (with a link to the thread you referenced) and said to continue with the rest of the uninstall instructions if the Add/Remove step doesn't work, just like you said to do in the thread. My recent mac/talkback edit was based on http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=2511887 --FatJohn 01:28, 28 September 2006 (UTC) The whole thing kinda imploded, reverted article... --FatJohn 02:10, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Delete, not rename?

We just had a user delete everything because of a firewall, and now he's having trouble downloading and reinstalling. Heaven only knows what he may have deleted. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=2957712#2957712 . I think telling users to delete everything instead of renaming is a really dumb idea. I would change it on the spot, but I'm busy, and besides there's the problem of all the conundrum over the profile, and what happens if you just delete/rename it.--AnotherGuest. 21:02, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Too many people are wiping out everything, including profiles, just to fix a problem. Enough of this deleting. Fixed.--AnotherGuest. 03:54, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Windows Prefetch files

I reverted the edit by User:Patient X which removed the following:

I restored the above entry to the article since it was based on this forum reference, included in Firefox CPU usage#Windows prefetch. Alice 20:16, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
