On 17 Mar 2004 I deleted the link to [http://kb.mozillazine.org/index.phtml?title=Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Migrate_profile this page], because it was redundant after I made a [http://kb.mozillazine.org/index.phtml?title=Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Changing_Profile_Folder_Location  new page] with essentially the same info but more detail.  If I'd been thinking more clearly, I would have just overwritten the existing page but for whatever reason I didn't. Anyhow, I just wanted to make note of the fact that there's now a page out there with nothing linking to it. I wasn't sure where to post a notice like this, so I'm putting it here. :Well, the main FAQ isn't really the main FAQ anymore. This page isn't being actively updated now that we're using a [[:Category:Thunderbird|category-based]] organizational scheme (where the links for info on installing extensions now appear in both the "Extensions" and "Installation and update" categories for TB). Of course, if anyone wants to keep adding links to this page, it's perfectly fine to do so. --[[User:Wintogreen|wintogreen]] 03:01, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

This page looks huge

There is too much on the page. I've tried reorganzing it (awhile ago), removing unneeded text (by removing redundancies and making the wording more succinct), and emphasizing the section headers (today).

What about breaking it into two pages: mail and everything else?

Style cleanup & article renaming

Every article linked on this page has been cleaned up per In-House Style, as of today. --Wintogreen 12:04, 5 Apr 2005 (PDT)

Re: article renaming, see Talk:Thunderbird : FAQs/Articles to rename. --wintogreen

so, how does one install an extension?

howdy y'all,

shouldn't there be some mention of how to install an extension? yes, this ... http://kb.mozillazine.org/Extensions_%28Thunderbird%29

.. covers it. but one would think that it would be linked to the main faq. is there a reason not to have it there?

take care, lee

Well, the main FAQ isn't really the main FAQ anymore. This page isn't being actively updated now that we're using a category-based organizational scheme (where the links for info on installing extensions now appear in both the "Extensions" and "Installation and update" categories for TB). Of course, if anyone wants to keep adding links to this page, it's perfectly fine to do so. --wintogreen 03:01, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
