Changes are coming up due to the signature not printing correctly or not at all [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=920997] and some follow-up to reduce or eliminate the transparency effect for HTML signatures [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=917906]. Those may come with the 24.0.1, depending on reviews. --[[User:Rsx11m|Rsx11m]] 03:56, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

: After numerous protests by users who don't want their HTML signature to be de-emphasized in this way [https://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/tags/bug_917906], it was decided to drop styling of HTML and image signatures entirely and to restrict the transparency effect to plain-text signatures only. This (along with the patch to solve the printing issue) has missed 24.0.1 but is expected to land for 24.0.2 now. --[[User:Rsx11m|Rsx11m]] 16:12, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Thunderbird 22.0 (thus hitting the releases with 24.0 [1]) extents the display-color preferences UI to match that of Firefox [2]. As a consequence, signature and its link colors will no longer be constants but deemphasized by opacity [3], assuming that patch checks in as proposed. [...] This will also be needed if you specify a "color:" along with it. Also, there is no longer a separate rule for links, the opacity applies to the selected colors for both of those. Note that the old rules may still apply to SeaMonkey, thus don't delete them for now. --Rsx11m 22:45, 27 March 2013 (UTC)

For SeaMonkey, this will become effective with its 2.19 release [4]. --Rsx11m 22:30, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
All patches for Thunderbird have checked in now as well, thus it'll become effective with the next 22.0a2 Earlybird builds. --Rsx11m 12:58, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

Changes are coming up due to the signature not printing correctly or not at all [5] and some follow-up to reduce or eliminate the transparency effect for HTML signatures [6]. Those may come with the 24.0.1, depending on reviews. --Rsx11m 03:56, 6 October 2013 (UTC

After numerous protests by users who don't want their HTML signature to be de-emphasized in this way [7], it was decided to drop styling of HTML and image signatures entirely and to restrict the transparency effect to plain-text signatures only. This (along with the patch to solve the printing issue) has missed 24.0.1 but is expected to land for 24.0.2 now. --Rsx11m 16:12, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
