I'm looking for further details about removing unwanted and mistaken entries from drop-down lists in Firefox. I don't understand the discussion about user.js, userChrome.css, and userContent.css at http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/edit and am not sure that they're even relevant.

Aside from that, I do not want to clear ''all'' entries, just a select few that have become annoying...

wintogreen, about:config is available for Thunderbird as an extension, it is mentioned on linked page. I think the Fx & Suite only comment in not needed. --asqueella
