I don't see a reason why this article is bad. (And I don't like the profile folder article much!)

This article can be extended to include more general information on cookies (what cookies mean for users / more about cookies permissions). We can add stub notice, if you like.

However if you are sure it would be better to redirect this article in profile folder, feel free to do so. --asqueella

Funny, I was just going to post here again to suggest that this article be extended to say something about whitelists and other basic cookie settings, but it seems you beat me to it. So, let's not redirect; hopefully someone will add more to the article in the future. --wintogreen

You asked is their a function to remove cookies etc, similar to IE tools / options. I wondered the same thing as I've just downloaded 'Firefox' today. But found it under Tools/Options/Privacy/ Where it gives you the chance to clear them.

Other types of cookies

This article doesn't mention using DOM storage for cookies, which is managed by the offline storage section in the network tab in advanced options. It also ignores the existence of flash cookies which are supposedly used by half of the top web sites.

I could either add a paragraph to the introduction briefly discussing the other types of cookies (mentioning the betterprivacy add-on as a way to disable them) or try to expand each of the existing sections to cover three types of cookies. I think a single paragraph would be less disruptive. Thoughts? Tanstaafl 22:26, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
