Talk:CookiesFrom MozillaZine Knowledge BaseI "vote" to get rid of this page. Everything important in it is already covered in either Profile folder or Firefox : Tips : Import Cookies From IE to Firefox. That would make one less article that needs to be categorized, too. --Wintogreen 00:46, 3 Apr 2005 (PST)
Is there a functionality to remove cookies and offline internet files, such as in IEs Internet Tools option? [edit] removing cookies etcYou asked is their a function to remove cookies etc, similar to IE tools / options. I wondered the same thing as I've just downloaded 'Firefox' today. But found it under Tools/Options/Privacy/ Where it gives you the chance to clear them. [edit] Other types of cookiesThis article doesn't mention using DOM storage for cookies, which is managed by the offline storage section in the network tab in advanced options. It also ignores the existence of flash cookies which are supposedly used by half of the top web sites. I could either add a paragraph to the introduction briefly discussing the other types of cookies (mentioning the betterprivacy add-on as a way to disable them) or try to expand each of the existing sections to cover three types of cookies. I think a single paragraph would be less disruptive. Thoughts? Tanstaafl 22:26, 18 August 2009 (UTC) |
