I think there's still a lot here that is overstated. Plus the comment about Enigmail and Mac is wrong afaik. wsmwk 21:03, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
I think a lot here is still it is quite disputable that 64bit thunderbird any detectable or usable performance improvement. therefore "preferred in order to increase performance" would seem to be misleading
