Firefox's search bar is a convenient way to search your favorite sites. By default, the bar searches Google.

To search: click in the search bar (or press Ctrl+K) and start typing. Hit enter and your search will be run.

The search bar supports more than one search engine. To see the list of available sites click the icon at the left of the bar, and a list showing the choices will appear.

To change search engine using the keyboard, press Ctrl+Up or Ctrl+Down when in the search bar to cycle between the available choices.

To add new searches to the search bar, click the search icon and then click "Add Engines...". You will be taken to a website with a wide variety of search plugins available. Follow the instructions on that website and you can extend the functionality of the search bar.
