The PalmSync extension for Mozilla Thunderbird allows you to synchronize your Thunderbird address book with the Address application on your Palm OS® device. Currently, this works only on Windows. The extension synchronizes the address book only. It replaces the Palm address book conduit. In other words, you will no longer be able to synchronize your Palm address book with the Palm Desktop. This extension is broken on some old versions of Thunderbird, so please upgrade to Thunderbird 1.0.2. The Contacts Sidebar extension is required for PalmSync to function properly.

To install the extension, follow these steps:

1.  Download the extension ("palmsync.xpi").
2.  Download the Contacts Sidebar extension.
3.  In Thunderbird, go to "Tools -> Extensions -> Install" and install the PalmSync extension.
4.  Restart Thunderbird.
5.  Repeat step 3 for the Contacts Sidebar extension.
6.  Restart Thunderbird again.
7.  Perform a HotSync® operation.
