Synchronizing the Thunderbird addressbook with a Palm OS PDA

Currently, this works only on MS-Windows; other platforms may be supported.

This extension (v. 0.6) replaces the Palm addressbook conduit. In other words, you will no longer be able to synchronize your Palm addressbook with the Palm Desktop.

To synchronize with your Palm OS(tm) PDA, follow these steps:

  1. Download the extension—the palmsync.xpi file—for the version you have installed, and follow the prompts
  2. Restart Thunderbird
  3. Go the system tray, and right click on the HotSync icon and select "Custom..."
  4. Modify your sync type by selecting the "Mozilla Address book component" as desired.

If the above does not work as is, try installing the contacts sidebar extension after completing the previous steps
