::The article hasn't been deleted yet (oversight?).  I have no objections to deleting it but why not simply remove the contents and redirect the page to Getting started with Thunderbird?  That will preserve any links to the article that may have been created, including Google search results,  in the six months that have passed since the article was written.  Alice 11:20, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Firefox : FAQs : About& THis one is a no-brainer and I would have simply deleted it except that I wasn't sure what the rules were on what can be deleted without at least posting it here.  Alice 16:24, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

New_user_tips:thunderbird

This article doesn't seem to be useful, and seems redundant given Getting_started_with_Thunderbird and Keep_it_working_-_Thunderbird. Gunnars tutorial is already linked in the Getting Started article.
If there is some critical missing information for new users it should be added as a paragraph in the Getting Started article, like we did for leaving messages on the POP server. However, I didn't notice any in the new user tips article. We replaced two of the sections of the OSA tutorial with links to KB articles. There is no reason why we couldn't add a link to another article in Getting Started to address another topic (though it should be for a specific user task, not yet another getting started overview). Firefox : FAQs : About& THis one is a no-brainer and I would have simply deleted it except that I wasn't sure what the rules were on what can be deleted without at least posting it here. Alice 16:24, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
