[edit] BackgroundThe HTML 5 Specification defines a mechanism allowing web pages to store information and pre-cached data with a web browser. By default, the amount of data a given site may store is determined by dom.storage.default_quota, but sites may be granted extra space for use with offline APIs. This preference determines the maximum amount of disk space allocated for offline apps’ storage.
