Background

This preference controls if the browser imposes retention limits on third-party cookies. These are cookies which are requested by websites outside of the domain of the website that you are currently visiting. In general, they are treated like cookies from the primary website once accepted based on the network.cookie.cookieBehavior preference for the duration specified in the network.cookie.lifetimePolicy setting. With this preference, third-party cookies can be forced to be accepted for the current session only, even if network.cookie.lifetimePolicy would allow a longer retention period.

Possible values and their effects

True

Third-party cookies are allowed within the limits of the general cookie acceptance settings but only retained for the current session.

False

Third-party cookies are allowed within the limits of the general cookie acceptance and retention settings. (Default)
