The link to the about page for the knowledge base is hard to spot unless you're explicitly looking for it. I read the main page numerous times without ever noticing it, possibly because I had no reason to expect that it had any usefull information. It was only when I happened to notice in the list of recent changes that it has been edited that I took a look at it.

I'm not suggesting a duplicate "about" link be added in a more noticeable location. I'm suggesting a meaningfull sentence be added somewhere in the couple of paragraphs at the top of the page that points to the same web page, since it has usefull information. Tanstaafl 17:48, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

Yes, it is hard to spot, especially since there are so many links in that top section on the main page. Maybe the thing to do would be to simply replace the last 4 sentences of the opening section (which now contain 5 separate kb links - rules, formatting, etc.) with a single sentence that says something like "Be sure to read about what the Knowledge Base is about and how you can get started editing." It would make for a simple gateway into kb, and the About article now has all the other links that people need anyway. --wintogreen 18:13, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Sounds like a good solution. Tanstaafl 22:17, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
