| is it possible to use Thunderbird with Google Mail? has anyone done it? Outlook Express struggles with Gmail (Google Mail) because it doesn't use folders. Can Thunderbird cope with this? thanks...

| As an alternative, I set my Google mail to forward to another account that I already had in my Outlook accounts. When I imported to Thunderbird, that came along with it.

| Yes.... Set the security to TLS. Details for the settings are available in GMail help.
