Background

This preference determines how to handle middle clicks in text fields.

Possible values and their effects

True

Paste the contents of the clipboard into the text field. (Default for Linux/Unix.)

False

Perform the action specified by middlemouse.contentLoadURL. (Default for all but Linux/Unix.)

Caveats

Previous effects

This preference used to also handle middle clicks in the content area outside of text fields. middlemouse.contentLoadURL now handles these clicks.
