Message aging

Look for message ageing (with permanent deletion) in Thunderbird 1.1. Currently settings are available at:

  • "Tools -> Account Settings -> [account name]" and then "Disk Space" (for Local Folders and POP accounts) or "Offline & Disk Space" (for IMAP accounts).
  • "Edit -> Folder Properties... -> Retention Policy" (for folder-specific settings).

Automatic deletion appears to occur only when a folder is opened.
