This is a list of "projects" going on within the Knowledge Base that require help. List your project here with details and remove it once you no longer require help.

General wiki stuff

Mozilla Suite articles

  • Many of them need to be categorized better. Eventually.
  • Many should probably be renamed to get rid of the FAQs/Tips/Issues nomenclature.

about:config entries

Development articles

We're trying to move all development articles to devmo.

See if you can find an article (or set of articles) that contains all the information of the article you want to remove (if it's most of the info, add the missing info to devmo). Flag it with {{devmo-wip|wip=http://url.to.devmo/article}}. If there are no comments after a while, replace the article with a manual redirect and put it in the redirects category (ex: JavaScript Console)

If no article exists on the subject, create it on devmo in your user namespace. Flag the KB version with {{devmo-wip|wip=http://url.to.devmo/article}}. If there are no comments after a while, replace the article with a manual redirect and put it in the redirects category (ex: JavaScript Console).

You can't copy content from the KB to devmo without all the editors of that article's permission.

Need help with the wiki?

If you're having trouble figuring out how to do some editorial task in the wiki (create a new page, categorize an article, etc.), you can ask for help below. If you have a user-support question about a Mozilla product, however, please use the MozillaZine forums instead. If you feel an article needs to be created but cannot or do not wish to do it yourself, you may add it to the Requested articles page.

Requested articles section help

I have a few questions, all related in some way to the Requested articles page I started:

  1. Should the article be under Category:MozillaZine Knowledge Base organization
  2. Should it have "MozillaZine Knowledge Base:" in front of it?

For the second issue, I'm not entirely sure what the prefix is for, is it for anything specifically dealing with the knowledge base? If that is the case, shouldn't In-house style, among others have this applied as well? --name already taken 10:54, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
