Background

By default, Mozilla will use anti-aliasing on all rendered text in OS X. However, OS X has a system preference which turns off anti-aliasing on text at or below a certain size. This preference determines whether or not Mozilla should honor that system-wide setting.

Possible values and their effects

True

Honor the “Turn off text smoothing for font sizes ___ and smaller” setting in OS X’s appearance system preferences when deciding whether to anti-alias rendered text.

False

Ignore OS X’s font smoothing preferences. Anti-alias text at all sizes. (Default)

Caveats

  • This preference only has an effect in OS X.
