Here are some tips for anything you could want to do with Firefox. Some tips just propose and explain a feature of Firefox, some show how to change the code to do something, and some explain how to customize. If you don't find how to do what you want here, look for an extension that does it.
Usability
Tabs
- About tabbed browsing.
- Bookmark or save multiple tabs.
- Italicize the title of unread background tabs.
Customizations
- Move the tabbar
- Customize the context menu.
- Change the phrase "Mozilla Firefox" in the window title.
- Try a new theme to make your browser look different.
Display
- Install nicer-looking fonts on Linux.
- Disable animated GIFs and images.
Profile
- Backup your profile.
- When something's amiss, create a new profile.
- Create a profile without the random xxxxxxxx.slt.
Misc
- Access hidden preferences.
- Make external programs in Linux use Firefox for opening URLs.
