There are four quicksearches per default in firefox:

Service Keyword
Google google
Google I'm feeling lucky goto
Dictionary.com dict
Google stock search quot

Use the quicksearch keywords like this:

Just type the keyword in the adressbar, followed by your entry,

dict parallelopipedon

will give you the meaning of the word parallelopipedon.

Quicksearches are implemented by bookmarks with a keyword.

You can do the same for your bookmarks, just right-click on a bookmark and choose 'properties'. In this pane you can fill in the keyword, which from now on, you can type in your address bar instead of the bookmarked url. This is a wonderfull way of accessing your bookmarklets.

Add new quicksearches

  • Add a keyword
