An index of extensions to XUL calendaring products (Sunbird, Lightning, CalExt).

  • For each extension, a row lists the products with which the extension works. The extension name is linked to a page with further information about the extension.
  • For each product, a column shows which extensions run on that product.
  • Comparing the columns shows you whether there is a product that runs all the extensions you like.

Background

  • Sunbird, Lightning, and CalExt share much of their code, so some extensions work with more than one of these products. The products work on different base applications (Sunbird, Thunderbird, Firefox, Seamonkey), so not all extensions work with all products.
  • Two of the products are themselves extensions: Lightning (for Thunderbird), and CalExt (for Seamonkey, Firefox, or Thunderbird), but that's ok, extensions can extend other extensions.
  • The Sunbird, Lightning, and CalExt products are being reengineered, and some previous features are not available in the latest alpha versions, so some users are tied to older versions.
  • Some new features are only available through extensions. Many of the extensions are experimental. Many are not available for all versions of all products.
  • This table shows which extensions are available for which calendar product versions.

The test version columns are for testers who try unstable builds that are updated nightly, to help find and report new bugs.
