Background
While Firefox’s extension system is arguably the browser’s most powerful feature, it can also be a vector for malware. With Firefox 2.0, specific extensions can be blacklisted from a central server (by default, addons.mozilla.org). This preference specifies the URL from which the blocklist is retrieved.
Possible values and their effects
A valid URL pointing to a properly-formatted blocklist. (Default value varies depending on application ID and version number.)
Caveats
- extensions.blocklist.enabled must be true for this preference to have an effect.
