Timezone of time displayed differs from entered time - Sunbird Lightning Calendar

Issue: If the operating system timezone and the Calendar timezone do not agree, then after entering a time in the event dialog and clicking OK, the time displayed in the view is not the same as the time just entered.

Versions:

  • Sunbird 0.3 - 0.7
  • Lightning 0.1 - 0.7

Background:

  • The date and time parsers and pickers used in the event dialog depend on the operating system timezone.
  • The calendar displays use the calendar timezone (Tools menu | Options | Timezone)
  • Therefore, the timezone needs to be set in two places.

Workaround: Make sure the operating system timezone and the calendar timezone agree.
