Talk:Saved SearchFrom MozillaZine Knowledge BaseSaved Search is definitely a great piece of functionality, but my heart hit the ground when I found out that a single Saved Search Folder can only search folders / subfolders in a single account. Looks like I'll still have to route all my mail to a single inbox! Also, I'm wondering if this feature was implemented with some kind of caching / labeling mechanism a-la gmail. Very cool.
[edit] ====The "search online" option is dimmed. Also, I for some reason it is not searching the inbox -- just subfolders of the inbox. Is this normal? This is a nice feature. I would like to also be able to do live searches based on contacts, like Opera's M2 client. I like the fact that, unlike Opera's M2, you can organize saved searches in subfolders of subfolders of the inbox, so that they can be categorized. (Opera requires saved searches to be a direct child of the top-level folder, "Filters," which does not allow for catagorizing.) [edit] ====I cannot view threads in saved search folders. Bug or intendded? [edit] Saved search - virtual foldersHello, I'm a new Thunderbird mailtool user and I'm looking for the way to filter messages giving criteria "body of message" . But it's not possible directly by filtering, so I discovered the Saved search (or virtual folder) option which permit to give "body of message " as criteria but it doesn't work correctly, no result in the virtual folder! Thanks to help me. Sorry if I'm not in the good place mailto:jl.tanne@enst-bretagne.fr [edit] Saving Messages in FoldersI want to backup an extensive set of message I have saved in Mozilla folders. But I haven't a clue out to do that within Mozilla or where the messages are stored in XP files, the 'real' disk location. The Knowledge Base says to start with the Profile folder. I can't find that either. This is a metter of some urgency because these messages could become a book and I don't want to print each one only to scan it back into a file. Phil Woods |
