Return receipts: How often?

The problem with return receipts is that too many people request a return receipt for every single email they send. With snail mail, return receipts are only available for registered mail, and only by paying extra on top of the registering fare. This way, snail return receipts only accompany very important mail. But requesting return receipts (and sometimes two of them AFAICT) with every single email sent is (IMHO) clearly an abuse of both privacy and bandwidth. — Tony 14:42, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
