The HTML 5 Specification defines a mechanism allowing web pages to store information and pre-cached data with a web browser. By default, the amount of data a given site may store is determined by, but sites may be granted extra space for use with offline APIs. This preference determines the point at which the user should be warned about current disk usage for offline apps’ storage.
