Bookmarks-(date).html

bookmarks-(date).html is a file in the profile folder. To edit this file, you will need to go into your profile folder — do not edit this article. The filename is incorrectly capitalized in the title of this article due to technical limitations in the software which powers the Knowledge Base.

"bookmarks-(date).html", in the bookmarkbackups folder, is a backup of "bookmarks.html". Firefox will automatically generate one of these files the first time it is opened each day. If something happened to "bookmarks.html", "bookmarks-(date).html" could be renamed and used in its place.
